I just bought a HTC TOUCH and it works just great with the following settings in the GPS.ini file:

Port=4
BaudRate=4800
ByteSize=8
StopBits=1
Parity=0
Fake=0

After starting maplorer.exe, just confirm 2 times that you trust the program, and off it goes!
