JPG /MAP size

I just discover Maplorer and I'm impressed. This is great! Congratulations.

Any known limitations regarding the jpg (or map) size? This might be dependent on the device though. On my hw6915, Maplorer works with a 1792x792 (1.2MB) file but fails to start with a 2680x1486 (3.43MB) one. Any hints on what is the max size?

There is no explicit limit on the size - you're right that it depends on the devices' available memory.

The limits of portable devices in this respect was the reason why I added the tile mechanism: by cutting your big images in several small ones, you can add as many as needed, and maplorer automatically switches tiles as needed.
